Rust conversion and priming in one step
WEICON rust converter: For the effective neutralization of rust on rusted cast iron and steel surfaces. Protects against corrosion indoors and outdoors. The rust converter is based on epoxy resin and forms a metallic-organic iron complex with the neutralized rust layer. This compound is stabilized by the special epoxy resin, which protects metals from external influences. The black layer that forms serves as a primer and is the basis for the subsequent, permanent coating. The spray is anti-corrosive, has very good creeping properties and high opacity. It is temperature-resistant up to +80°C (short-term < 15 min. up to +160°C), has good weather and UV resistance and very good solvent resistance. WEICON rust converter is free of heavy metals and mineral acids. Rust converter can be used on all rusty areas, for example on machines and systems, on agricultural equipment and on motor vehicles. The spray can also be used as a protective and preventative layer.
